JustUs and Books is a YouTube channel created by Emmy Award-winning educator Dannette Justus, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The channel is dedicated to promoting early literacy through engaging weekly read-aloud sessions that highlight themes of self-love, diversity, and resilience.
With over 200 videos and a growing community of 2,000+ followers, Dannette brings stories to life while helping young readers—especially during the summer months—stay connected to learning and imagination. Her mission is to prevent the “summer slide” by encouraging children to read and explore through fun, consistent exposure to books.

Meet Bryson & Brayden Best
Young Authors. Big Imagination.
Brothers Bryson and Brayden Best are dynamic young storytellers with a passion for reading, writing, and inspiring other kids to dream big.
​
Bryson, a rising 8th grader, is the author of Touchdown Time—a heartwarming story that celebrates family and fatherhood through football. Written during the pandemic and filled with sight words for early readers, the book helps build reading confidence while sharing a relatable message. Bryson is also the creator of The Kid Knows Sports YouTube channel, where he shares bold takes and interviews sports legends like Dr. J and Tracy McGrady. His energy and insight have earned him features on local and national media, including The Doctors.

Brayden, age 7, is the author of Two Turtles in a Tank, a playful and imaginative story that showcases his love of reading, creativity, and fun. An honor roll student, Brayden hopes his debut book inspires other kids to believe in their ideas and become authors too.

Together, the Best brothers are using their voices and stories to uplift, entertain, and encourage young readers everywhere.
