November is Black Babies Awareness Month!

ree

The Equity Research Action Coalition is excited to launch the inaugural “Black Babies Awareness Month.” This month, we encourage individuals and organizations to tweet, post, and share information that brings awareness to Black babies and their families. We want to spotlight and celebrate Black infants, families, and the people and organizations that support them. This is an opportunity to draw public attention to the challenges they face and the programs and service providers that help meet their needs. The tremendous efforts of Black parents, early educators, community leaders, and other advocates should not go unnoticed—especially in times of crisis. The Equity Research Action Coalition unveiled the National Black Child Agenda, an ambitious plan that calls for actions to dismantle structural racism and systemic inequities that have negative effects on Black children’s school and life success. The agenda was co-developed with research and child development experts from the National Black Child Development Institute (NBCDI), the UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, and POINTS of ACCESS, LLC. Our ask: During Black Babies Awareness Month (November 1-30), spread the word about this initiative. Please use the following sample social media posts and graphics to spread the message. Access the social media toolkit here. Read the press release here. Thank you, Equity Research Action Coalition
